YMCA Youth and Government "Senator" Jebrell Hooks of New Haven, Connecticut presented United States Senator Christopher Dodd with the YMCA Congressional Champion honor in ceremonies in the Russell Office Building on Capitol Hill today.
The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Youth Leaders' Club member, a high school junior, recognized Senator Dodd as a strong advocate of better education for America's children, a leader in the movement to reform the No Child Left Behind Act, and an advocate for high-quality aferschool programming.
Accompanying Jebrell at the ceremonies on Capitol Hill was his mother, Necole Wright.
