The Value of AYP Membership

Retired YMCA professional Doug McLeod, former Southington YMCA CEO, shared his thoughts on the value of membership in the Association of YMCA Professionals (AYP) at the 2009 Awards Luncheon of AYP Chapter 3 in Mystic, Connecticut on June 4th.

Now a resident of St. Augustine, Florida, Doug McLeod is Co-President of a Florida Chapter of the North American Fellowshop of YMCA Retirees. McLeod began his YMCA career in 1958 in Quincy, Massachusetts and retired after 34 years. Doug cited YMCA colleagial support, professional development and networking as the benefits of AYP membeship.
